Julia Mancillas, age 85, passed away at the Wallace County Community Care Center in Sharon Springs, Kansas on February 24, 2022. She was born in Nayarit, Mexico to Tranquilino and Ramona Limon Ruiz on April 12, 1936.
In 1956, Julia married Leocadio Mancillas Flores in Nayarit, Mexico. He passed way in 2002.
Julia was a member of St. Anthony’s of Padua in Leoti, Kansas.
Survivors include, six children; Domingo Mancillas of Leoti, Kansas, Asension Mancillas of North Carolina, Audon Mancillas of Mexico, Tranky Mancillas of Dighton, Kansas, Conception Mancillas of Leoti, Kansas, Grisel Mancillas of Leoti, Kansas, 29 grandchildren, 32 great-grandchildren, and 9 great great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, one daughter, Augustina Murillo, and two sons, Anselmo Mancillas, and Juan Mancillas.
Funeral services will be held on Monday, February 28, at 10:00 a.m. at St. Anthony’s of Padua church in Leoti, Kansas with Father Tim Hickey presiding. Vigil services will be held on Sunday, February 27, 2022 at 7:00 p.m. at the Price and Sons Funeral Home at Fourth and J St. in Leoti, Kansas.
Visitation will be on Saturday, February 26 from 3:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. and on Sunday, February 27 from 2:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. at the Price and Sons Funeral home at forth and J St. in Leoti, Kansas.
