Joy E. Ottaway, age 87, passed away on Tuesday, February 27, 2007 at the Scott County Hospital in Scott City, Kansas. She was born on January 31, 1920 in Garden City, Kansas, the daughter of James E. and Della A. Blackley Kirk. She was a lifetime resident of Scott City, Kansas. She was a nurses aid and was a physical therapist at Park Lane Nursing Home for over 20 years before retiring. She was a WWII Army Veteran in the Women's Army Corps.

On May 5, 1945 she married Clifton P. Ottaway in Riverside, California. He passed away on July 30, 1996 in Scott City, Kansas.
