John Jospeh Kohl

John J. Kohl, age 81, passed away on Friday, November 4, 2016 at the Park Lane Nursing Home in Scott City, Kansas. He was born on January 22, 1935 in Marienthal, Kansas, the son of Frank and Elizabeth Berning Kohl. A lifetime resident of Marienthal, Kansas, he was a farmer. He was a member of St. Mary Catholic Church in Marienthal, Kansas. On August 25, 1964 he married Carol Ann McLinn in Garden City, Kansas. She passed away on July 18, 1988 in Garden City, Kansas. Survivors include his One Son - Curtis Kohl of Marienthal, Kansas, One Daughter - Jeanna & Scott Boddicker of Mesa, Arizona, Two Sisters - Marie Baker of Marienthal, Kansas and Tillie Hill of Lyman, Nebraska. He was preceded in death by his Parents, Wife, Sister - Elizabeth Huffman and Three Infant Sisters - Anna, Johanna and Joanna Kohl. Vigil Services will be held at 7:00 p.m. Wednesday, November 9, 2016 at St. Mary Catholic Church in Marienthal, Kansas. Funeral Mass will be held at 10:30 a.m. Thursday, November 10, 2016 at St. Mary Catholic Church in Marienthal, Kansas with Fr. Ben Martin presiding. Memorials in Lieu of Flowers may be given to the St. Mary Catholic Church in Marienthal, Kansas in care of Price & Sons Funeral Homes. Interment will be in the St. Mary Catholic Cemetery in Marienthal, Kansas Visitation will be from 2:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. Tuesday and 10:00 a.m. until 5:00 p.m. Wednesday at Price & Sons Funeral Home in Scott City, Kansas.
