Jimmy Rojas

Jimmy Rojas, age 60, died Monday, February 15, 2010 at St. Catherine Hospital in Garden City, Kansas. He was born September 13, 1949 in Garden City, Kansas the son of Bartolo & Mary Delgado Rojas. A lifetime Garden City resident, he had worked as plant manager for Butler-Oswalt- Heyco for 34 years. He was a member of St. Mary Catholic Church, the YMCA and the Garden City Recreation Center all of Garden City, Kansas. He enjoyed K-State sports, Bowling, Softball, Racquetball, Biking across Kansas and spending time with his grandchildren and brothers. On December 14, 1968, he married Caverly C. Beltran in Garden City, Kansas. She survives. Other Survivors include: Three Sons, Kip W. Rojas of Phoenix, Arizona, Brandon R. Rojas of Garden City, Kansas, and Tyler J. Rojas of Wichita, Kansas; Two Brothers, Daniel Rojas and Gilbert Rojas; Three Sisters, Oletha Cox, Rose Beltran and Brenda Villa, all of Garden City, Kansas; and Six Grandchildren. He was preceded in death by two sisters, Gloria Perez and Susie Garcia; and two nephews, Gilbert Rojas Jr. and Timothy Cox. Vigil and Rosary services will be held at 7:00pm on Thursday, February 18, 2010 at Price & Sons Funeral Home in Garden City. The Funeral Mass will be held at 1:00pm on Friday, February 19, 2010 at St. Mary Catholic Church with Father Efiri Matthias Selemobri, MSP. presiding. Friends may call from 10:00am-8:00pm on Thursday at the Price & Sons Funeral Home in Garden City, Kansas. Interment will be in the Valley View Cemetery in Garden City, Kansas. The family requests memorials be given to the Jimmy Rojas Memorial Fund in care of Price & Sons Funeral Home of Garden City.
