She was born on September 29, 1931 in Claremore, Oklahoma, the daughter of Walter Henry and Josephine Jones Bell. She moved to Scott City in 1934P with her Step Father and Mother, William and Josephine White. She was a homemaker and was a cook at the Chaparral Inn restaurant in Scott City.
