Jerry Ruiz

Garden City, Kansas Gerardo "Jerry" Ruiz, age 58, died Friday, August 7, 2009 at the St. Catherine Hospital in Garden City, Kansas. He was born on May 5, 1951 in Morelia, Michoacan, Mexico the son of Luis and Aurora Salgado Ruiz. He was a contract flooring specialist and had been a resident of Garden City, Kansas since 1992 moving from Scott City, Kansas. He was a member of Catholic Faith. On April 11, 1992 he married Shelly Faye Trujillo in Scott City, Kansas. She survives. Other Survivors Include: One Daughter, Cynthia Ruiz of California; One Brother, Jose Luis Ruiz of Azusa, California and Numerous Nephews and Nieces. He was preceded in death by his parents. Funeral Services will be held at 2:00pm on Tuesday, August 11, 2009 at the Price & Sons Funeral Home in Scott City, Kansas with the Rev. Robert Nuckolls presiding. There will be no calling times. Burial will take place at a later date. The family requests memorials be given to the Jerry Ruiz Memorial Fund in care of Price & Sons Funeral Homes.
