Jerry W. Buxton

Jerry W. Buxton, age 56, passed away on Sunday, February 25, 2024, at the Scott County Hospital in Scott City, Kansas.  He was born on August 2, 1967, in Walsenburg, Colorado, the son of Jack & Velma Reeves Buxton.  A resident of Scott City, Kansas since 1972 moving from Walsenburg, Colorado, he was the CFO for Finney County Feedyard.

Jerry was a member of the Pence Community Church in Pence, Kansas, and was a past Scott City Council Member and Scott County Commissioner, and memberships to many area golf courses.

On September 2, 1989, he married Jynette Eckels in Shallow Water, Kansas.  She survives.

Survivors include his Wife - Jynette Buxton of Scott City, Kansas, One Daughter - Emily Buxton of Scott City, Kansas, Mother - Velma Buxton of Scott City, Kansas, One Brother - Rob & Lil Buxton of Norway, Two Grandsons - Camden Mulligan of Scott City, Kansas, Brexton Mulligan of Scott City, Kansas, and numerous nieces & nephews.

He is preceded in death by his Father - Jack Buxton, One Daughter - Alexis Buxton, Father in Law - Eugene Eckels, and Mother In Law - Ann Eckels.

A Memorial Service will be held at 2:00 p.m. Saturday, March 2, 2024, at the First Baptist Church in Scott City, Kansas with Don Williams presiding.  Services will be live-streamed at www.priceandsons.com or https://evt.live/jbuxton
