Jason W. Jamieson, age 28, died Tuesday, September 12, 2006 at the St. Catherine Hospital in Garden City, Kansas after a long battle with brain cancer. He was born on November 4, 1977 in Omaha, Nebraska the son of Ricki W. and Mary Lou Denham Jamieson. He graduated from Garden City High School his junior year and then attended and graduated from Barbering School and the Tony and Guy Academy of Cosmetology and Hair Design in Colorado Springs, Colorado. He moved to Denver and worked in several upscale hair salons until his illness prevented him from continuing his profession. In March of this year he moved back to Garden City to be close to his family. He enjoyed cutting hair, skate boarding, tattoo art, spending time with children and friends, listening to music, attending classic car and Low Rider shows and sporting events. Survivors Include: A son, Savio Jamieson of Garden City, A daughter, Nautica Jamieson of Garden City, his parents, Rick & Mary Lou Jamieson of Garden City, a sister, Angela Zorn of Olathe, Kansas, his Grandparents, Dean & Donna Jamieson of North Platte, Nebraska, an aunt & uncle, Trent & Pam Lindstedt of North Platte, Nebraska, an uncle, Kurt Denham of Phoenix, Arizona, a cousin, Staci Ponte of North Platte, Nebraska and close friends Jacquie Torres & Maria Escalada. He was preceded in death by his grandparents, Grover & Donna Denham. Funeral Services will be held at 11:00am on Saturday, September 16, 2006 at the Garden Valley Church with Pastor Kenne Whitson presiding. Friends may call from 10:00 am until 8:00 pm on Friday at the Price & Sons Funeral Home in Garden City. Private family burial will take place in North Platte, Nebraska. The family requests in lieu of flowers memorials be given to the Jason W. Jamieson Memorial Fund in care of Price & Sons Funeral Home of Garden City.
