Janis Beckley

Janis I. Beckley, age 80, passed away on Friday, September 19, 2008 at the Scott County Hospital in Scott City, Kansas. She was born on January 28, 1928 in Atwood, Kansas, the daughter of Joe and Grace Call Fields. A resident of Scott City, Kansas since 1946 moving from Atwood, Kansas, she was a homemaker. Janis and her husband Gerald were avid motorcycle riders who enjoyed riding their Harley across the US. On September 11, 1946 she married Gerald Beckley in Atwood, Kansas. He passed away on May 2, 1996 in Scott City, Kansas. Survivors include One Son - Ed Beckley of Dodge City, Kansas, One Grandson - Scott Beckley of Denton, Texas, One Brother - Dallas Fields of Norton, Kansas, and One Sister - Maxine Arendt of Colby, Kansas. She was preceded in death by her Parents, Husband, One Brother â Merle "Pete" Fields, and One Sister â Coith Bush. Graveside Services will be held at the Scott County Cemetery in Scott City, Kansas at 2:00 p.m. Monday, September 22, 2008 with the Rev. Robert Nuckolls presiding. Interment will be in the Scott County Cemetery in Scott City, Kansas. Memorials may be given to the Scott County Hospital Nurses Station % Price & Sons Funeral Home in Scott City, Kansas. Visitation will be from 1:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. Sunday, and 9:00 a.m. until 1:00 p.m. Monday @ Price & Sons Funeral Home in Scott City, Kansas.
