Jane D. Kimball, age 95, passed away on Sunday, October 28, 2012 at the Littleton Adventist Hospital in Littleton, Colorado. She was born on October 16, 1917 in Nickerson, Kansas, the daughter of Charles Isaac and Dorothea Cobb Smith Dunn. A resident of Scott City, Kansas since 1945 moving from Nickerson, Kansas.
Jane and her partner won the National Collegiate Debate in San Francisco, California in 1935. From 1936 to 1939 she was a Teacher and thereafter a homemaker.
She was a member of the United Methodist Church in Scott City, Kansas. She also belonged to the Pyramid China Painters, Kansas Federation of China Painters, PEO, ACBL, Former Scott County Library Board, Scott County School Board and a Boy Scout Den Mother.
On October 31, 1940 she married B.H. "Bas" Kimball in St. John, Kansas. He passed
away on November 7, 1986 in Ness City, Kansas.
Survivors include her Two Sons - K. Mike and Janet Kimball of Ulysses, Kansas, J.K. and Janice Kimball of Luther, Oklahoma, Five Grandchildren and Five Great Grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her Parents, Husband, Two Brothers - John & Charles, and One Sister - Patsy.
Funeral Services will be held at the United Methodist Church in Scott City, Kansas at 10:30 a.m. Saturday, November 3, 2012 the Rev. Dennis Carter presiding.
Memorials may be given to the Scott County Library or the United Methodist Church % Price & Sons Funeral Home in Scott City.
Interment will be in the Scott County Cemetery in Scott City, Kansas.
Visitation will be from 11:00 a.m. until 8:00 p.m. Thursday and 10:00 a.m. until 8:00 p.m. Friday at Price & Sons Funeral Home in Scott City, Kansas.
