Jack L. Huber, age 68, died Saturday, September 23, 2006 at the Wesley Medical Center in Wichita, Kansas. He was born September 26, 1937 in Garden City, Kansas the son of Jake and Maurine Angeles Huber. He graduated from Pierceville High School in 1955 and then attended Garden City Community College. A lifetime Garden City resident, he was a farmer and the owner and operator of Jack Huber produce in Garden City for over 40 years.
He was an avid fisherman and hunter and enjoyed spending time with his grandchildren.
He was a member of the Cornerstone Church of Garden City, Kansas
On March 25, 1960 he married Neola C. Laughlin in Garden City. She survives. Other survivors include: a son, Troy L. Huber, a daughter, Thela C. Rich, his mother, Maurine Huber, four brothers, Louis "Sonny" Huber, Bob Huber, Terry Huber & John Huber, three sisters, Anna Mae Burgess, Palla Lang & Pamela Kemp, all of Garden City, KS, six grandchildren & three great-grandchildren.
Funeral Services will be held at 2:00pm on Wednesday, September 27, 2006 at the Cornerstone Church in Garden City, Kansas with Pastor Neil Burum officiating.
Interment will be in the Valley View Cemetery in Garden City, Kansas.
Friends may call from 1:00-8:00pm on Tuesday and from 10:00-11:00am on Wednesday at the Price & Sons Funeral Home in Garden City.
Memorials may be given to the Jack Huber Memorial Fund in care of Price & Sons Funeral Home of Garden City.
