J.B. Scott, age 101, passed away on Friday, August 2, 2013 at the Park Lane Nursing Home in Scott City, Kansas. He was born on March 2, 1912 in Mammoth Springs, Arkansas, the son of James William and Minnie Mae Bentley Scott. A resident of Scott City, Kansas since 1994 moving from San Angelo, Texas. J.B. was an oil field welder and was the owner and operator of Scotty's Welding.
He was a member of Baptist Temple in San Angelo, Texas.
On March 19, 1994 he married Iva Crist Keyse Carr in Scott City, Kansas. She passed away on April 7, 2007 in Scott City, Kansas.
Survivors include his Two Daughters - Peggy Hudson of San Angelo, Texas, Sue Chance of Florida, One Son - David Scott of Alaska, One Nephew - George Andrasek of Scott City, Kansas.
He was preceded in death by his first wife - Winifred, second wife - Iva L. Scott,
Five Brothers and Two Sisters.
Funeral Service will be held at the First Christian Church in Scott City, Kansas at 10:00 a.m Monday, August 5, 2013 with Steve Payne & Rev. Scott Wagner presiding.
Memorials amy be given to the First Christian Church or Park Lane Nursing Home % Price & Sons Funeral Home.
Interment will be in the Prairie View Church Cemetery in Friend, Kansas.
Visitation will be from 2:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. Saturday and 1:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. Sunday at Price & Sons Funeral Home in Scott City, Kansas.
