Herbert E. Ketterling

Garden City, Kansas Herbert E. Ketterling, 83, died on Monday, August 10, 2020 at the Garden Valley Retirement Village. He was born on April 7, 1937 in Long Lake, South Dakota, the son of Edward & Eva Sandmeier Ketterling. He has been a member of the Garden City Community since 1979, moving from Leola, South Dakota. Herbert worked a a feedlot cowboy. He was a member of the Seventh Day Adventists Church and was a member of the Beef Empire Days PRCA Rodeo Committee. On June 4, 1961 He married Lorna D. Kruger in Bowdle, South Dakota. She preceded him in death on September 17, 2015. Survivors include: Two Sons Michael Ketterling of Robinson, Texas Lance Ketterling of Garden City, Kansas Four Grandchildren and four great grandchildren. He preceded in death by his parents; wife; and three brothers. Memorial services will be held on Saturday, August 22, 2020 at 3:00 pm at the Seventh Day Adventist church of Garden City, Kansas. Interment will be held at a later date. Memorials are suggested to the Seventh Day Adventist Church in care of Price & Sons Funeral Home, 620 N. Main St. Garden City, Kansas 67846.
