Herbert Harry Bohnert, age 80, passed away at the Scott County Hospital in Scott City, Kansas on Monday, September 24, 2012. He was born on November 3, 1931 in Jewell, Kansas, the son of Carl Fredrick and Ethel May Simmons Bohnert. A resident of Scott City, Kansas since 1960 moving from Jewell, Kansas, he was a Fuel Salesman for Scott COOP in Scott City. Harry was a US Army Veteran of the Korean Conflict with the rank of Sgt. as an Artillery Survey Specialist.
Memberships include the First Christian Church of Scott City, Christian Men's Fellowship, COOP Association, Sunflower Swingers Square Dance Club, and the Scott County Historical Society.
On July 14, 1957 he married Joyce Lucille Fairchild in Scott City, Kansas. She survives.
