Herbert Harry Bohnert, age 80, passed away at the Scott County Hospital in Scott City, Kansas on Monday, September 24, 2012. He was born on November 3, 1931 in Jewell, Kansas, the son of Carl Fredrick and Ethel May Simmons Bohnert. A resident of Scott City, Kansas since 1960 moving from Jewell, Kansas, he was a Fuel Salesman for Scott COOP in Scott City. Harry was a US Army Veteran of the Korean Conflict with the rank of Sgt. as an Artillery Survey Specialist. Memberships include the First Christian Church of Scott City, Christian Men's Fellowship, COOP Association, Sunflower Swingers Square Dance Club, and the Scott County Historical Society. On July 14, 1957 he married Joyce Lucille Fairchild in Scott City, Kansas. She survives. Survivors include: Wife Joyce Bohnert of Scott City, Kansas Four Daughters Glenda Graham and Husband Alan of Scott City, KS Lois Hutchins & Husband Alan of Kansas City, MO Janet Gallardo & Husband Gabe of Garden City, KS Lora Strandridge & Husband Ralph of Shreveport, LA One Brother Marion Bohnert of Beloit, Kansas Ten Grandchildren Four Great Grandchildren He was preceded in death by his Parents, Five Brothers - Ralph, Fred, Roy, Keith, and Clyde, and One Grandson - Fredrick Ives.
