Heloris Brungardt

Garden City, Kansas Heloris "Shorty" Brungardt, age 84, died Thursday, April 2, 2009 at the Homestead Assisted Living Center in Garden City, Kansas. He was born on August 25, 1924 in McCracken, Kansas the son of Martin and Dora Herman Brungardt. His family moved to Garden City in 1932 and he worked on the family farm. In 1962 he moved to Denver, Colorado and worked as a coal miner. He later worked for the Coors Brewery and as a security guard before moving back to Garden City, Kansas in 2002. He was a member of Catholic Faith and the Kansas National Guard. Survivors Include: Two Sisters, Ermina Rupp of Garden City, Kansas and Silverina Hahn of Garden City, Kansas; Several Nephews and Nieces. He was preceded in death by his parents. Funeral Services will be held at 7:00pm on Sunday, April 5, 2009 at the Price & Sons Funeral Home in Garden City, Kansas with Father Trong Tran presiding. There will be no calling times. Private family burial will take place at a later date. The family requests memorials be given to the Homestead Assisted Living Center in care of Price & Sons Funeral Home.
