Harvey Bauer

Friend, Kansas Harvey Raymond Jonnie Bauer, age 77, died Tuesday, September 23, 2008 from injuries sustained in an automobile accident just North of Garden City, Kansas. He was born on December 12, 1930 in Garden City, Kansas the son of Cletus J. and Evelina Dague Bauer. A lifetime resident of Scott County, Kansas he was a farmer. He was a member of the Prairie View Church of the Brethren of Friend, Kansas and the American Kennel Club. On March 23, 1952 he married Evelyn Marie Dougherty in Garden City, Kansas. She survives. Other survivors Include: Two Sons, Ronnie R. Bauer of Meade, Kansas and Dean C. Bauer of Scott City, Kansas; One Daughter; Deann M. Reeves of Garden City, Kansas Three Granddaughters and Two Great-Granddaughters He was preceded in death by two sisters, Maude Rowe and Rosetta Metheney. Funeral Services will be held at 10:30am on Friday, September 26, 2008 at the Prairie View Church of the Brethren in Friend, Kansas with Rev. Jon Tuttle presiding. Interment will be held in the Prairie View Church Cemetery in Friend, Kansas. Friends may call from 1:00 pm until 8:00 pm on Thursday at the Price & Sons Funeral Home in Garden City, Kansas. The family requests memorials be given to the Harvey Raymond Bauer Memorial Fund in care of Price & Sons Funeral Home of Garden City.
