Harry E. Sharpe, age 87, passed away on Thursday, October 17, 2024, at the Scott County Hospital in Scott City, Kansas. He was born on September 30, 1937, in Scott County, Kansas, the son of Clive Gay & Nellie Marguerite Scott Sharpe. A lifetime resident of Scott City, Kansas, he was a Trucker, Electrician, Micro-Tech, and Cowboy.
He was a member of the United Methodist Church in Scott City, Kansas, Lane County Saddle Club, and was an EMT in Scott City, Kansas for 15 years.
On June 2, 1957, he married Virginia Spitzer in Scott City, Kansas. She survives.
Survivors include his Wife - Virginia Sharpe of Scott City, Kansas, Three Daughters - Bonnie Sharpe of Wichita, Kansas, Lori & John Jeffers of Lincoln, Nebraska, Lisa Redburn of Hugoton, Kansas, Two Sons - Myron & Holly Sharpe of Konawa, Oklahoma, Gary & Sandy Sharpe of Derby, Kansas, Three Brothers - Harley & Ora Sharpe of Scott City, Kansas, John Sharpe of Loveland, Colorado, Hiriam Sharpe of Scott City, Kansas, One Sister - Helen & Bill Ackley of Hutchinson, Kansas, Eight Grandchildren - Blaine Redburn of Gove, Kansas, Jessica & Derick Reinerio of Hugoton, Kansas, Kelcey & Derek Benson of Newton, Kansas, Seth & Angelina Sharpe of Tucson, Arizona, Kylie & Drew Heginbotham of Santaquin, Utah, Katie Sharpe of Knoxville, Tennessee, and Ethan & Mitchell Jeffers of Lincoln, Nebraska, and 12 Great Grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his Parents, One Brother - Clive J. Sharpe, Four Sisters - Vivian Sharpe, Myrtle Rohr, Trilla Hayes, and Thada Holt and Twin great-granddaughters - Dakota & Nevada Redburn.
Funeral Services will be held at 2:00 p.m. Tuesday, October 22, 2024, at the United Methodist Church, 412 S. College, Scott City, Kansas with Rev. Jeff Goetzinger & Don Williams presiding.
In lieu of flowers memorials may be sent to United Methodist Church or Friends of Lake Scott or Lane County Saddle Club or Western Kansas Child Advocacy Center in care of Price & Sons Funeral Home, PO Box 552, Scott City, Kansas, 67871.
Visitation will be from 2:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. Sunday and 10:00 a.m. until 8:00 p.m. Monday at Price & Sons Funeral Home, 401 S. Washington St, Scott City, Kansas, 67871.
Interment will be in the Scott County Cemetery in Scott City, Kansas.
