Harold Sauer

Harold "Stanley" Sauer, age 76, passed away on Thursday, July 30, 2009 at the St. Catherine Hospital in Garden City, Kansas. He was born on September 21, 1932 in Scott City, Kansas, the son of William Harold and Gladys Pearl Cheney Sauer. A resident of Shallow Water, Kansas since 1999 moving from Garden City, Kansas, he was a Boiler Tech at Monfort in Garden City, Kansas until retiring in 1998. His memberships include the Fellowship Baptist Church of Garden City, Kansas. Stanley also enjoyed fishing, camping, collecting knives, and especially spending time with his grandchildren. On February 2. 1952 he married Bonnie Bulkley in Garden City, Kansas. She survives. Survivors include his Three Sons - Randall Sauer of Spearman, Texas; Mike & Karla Sauer of Modoc, Kansas; Kirk Sauer of Scott City, Kansas; Two Daughters - Daphne Schmidt of Garden City, Kansas; Michelle & Curtis Gross of Wichita, Kansas; One Brother - Curtis & Ruth Sauer of Garden City, Kansas and Thirteen Grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his Parents. Memorial Services will be held at the Gospel Fellowship Church in Shallow Water, Kansas at 4:00 p.m. Saturday, August 1, 2009 with pastor Loyd Gross presiding. Inurnment will be in the Modoc Cemetery in Modoc, Kansas. Memorials may be given to the Stanley Sauer Memorial Fund. There will be no calling times.
