Harold Mason Borthwick, age 75, died Wednesday, July 7, 2010 at the Kansas Heart Hospital in Wichita, Kansas. He was born December 17, 1934 in Dodge City, Kansas the son of Harold McCartney and Laura Baker Borthwick. A resident of Garden City since 1952 moving from Beeler, Kansas, he had been an automotive mechanic and he enjoyed restoring antique cars.
He was a member of the R.E.O. Club of America, the Western Prairie Antique Power and he was a US Air Force veteran.
Survivors include: One Brother, Fred Borthwick of Ulysses, Kansas; One Sister, Joann Borthwick of Garden City, Kansas; Four Nephews, Larry Borthwick of Rye, Colorado, Jerry Borthwick of Ulysses, Kansas, Marvin Borthwick of Ulysses, Kansas and Bryan Borthwick of Ulysses, Kansas; One Niece, Nancy Borthwick of Emporia, Kansas
He was preceded in death by his parents and a sister, Helen Borthwick.
Graveside services will be held at 11:00am on Saturday, July 10, 2010 in the Ness City Cemetery in Ness City, Kansas with Rev. Curtiss P. Davis presiding.
There will be no calling times at the funeral home.
The family suggests memorials be given to the American Heart Association in care of Price & Sons Funeral Home.
