Gladys Louella Reed

Gladys Louella Reed, age 85, passed away on Wednesday, January 11, 2016 at Via Christi-St. Francis Hospital in Wichita, Kansas. Mrs. Reed was born April 13, 1931 in Emerson, Iowa, the daughter of Theodore J. & Olive M. (Gibson) Tranbarger. A resident of Garden City since 1993 moving from California, she was a homemaker. She was a member of the United Methodist Church and Finney County Senior Center of Garden City. In 1948 she married Charles Reed, Sr. in Tribune, Kansas. They later divorced. Mrs. Reed’s surviving family includes- One son- Gayle Reed- Lytle Creek, California One sister- Jackie Hutchins- Sun City, Arizona Two grandchildren- Brian Reed- La Puente, California Kathleen Reed- Hemet, California Her parents and one son, Charles A. Reed, Jr. precedes her in death. Funeral Services will be held at 1:00 pm (MST) Tuesday at Price & Sons Funeral Home in Tribune, Kansas. Burial will be in Greeley County Cemetery in Tribune, Kansas. Friends may call from 11:00 am Tuesday until service time at Price & Sons Funeral Home in Tribune, Kansas. Memorials may be given to the Gladys Reed Memorial Fund in care of the funeral home.
