Genoveva Prieto, age 77, passed away on Tuesday, April 8, 2025, at her home in Scott County, Kansas. She was born on May 4, 1947, in Chihuahua, Chihuahua, Mexico, the daughter of Antonio & Caledonia Balderrama Rodriguez. She was a resident of Scott City, Kansas since 1978, moving from Chihuahua, Chihuahua, Mexico.

She was a member of the St. Joseph Catholic Church in Scott City, Kansas.

On July 1, 1962, she married Pablo Prieto in Chihuahua, Mexico.

Survivors include her Husband, Pablo Prieto of Roswell, New Mexico, Three Sons - Carlos & Mishele Prieto of Garden City, Kansas, Efrain & Adrienne Prieto of Bandera, Texas, Jaime & Sandra Viviana Prieto of Lake Jackson, Texas, Four Daughters - L. Elena & Francisco Guerrero of Covina, California, Genoveva Cunningham of Beaumont, California, Patricia Prieto of San Bernardino, California, Veronica & Jose Manuel Garcia of Scott City, Kansas, Thirteen Grandchildren - Chandra Guerrero of Covina, California, Adrian Guerrero of Covina, California, Viviana Avigail of Lake Jackson, Texas, Jaime Andress of Lake Jackson, Texas, Mateo Nicolas of Lake Jackson, Texas, Brittany & J.P. Parker of Tennessee, Marcus Cunningham of Beaumont, California, Tyler Cunningham of Beaumont, California, Stefani & Kyle Brown of Garden City, Kansas, Kyshia & Joseph Jarnagin of Holcomb, Kansas, Michael Prieto & Yasmin Hernandez of Holcomb, Kansas, Marissa & Matthew Eickleberry of Marion, Kansas, Erik & Kassidy Prieto of Duncan, Oklahoma, 23 Great Grandchildren and 3 Great Great Grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her Parents, One Son, and Two Brothers.

Vigil Services will be held at 7:00 p.m. Friday, April 18, 2025, at Price & Sons Funeral Home in Scott City, Kansas.

Funeral Service will be held at 10:00 a.m. Saturday, April 19, 2025, at Price & Sons Funeral Home in Scott City, Kansas, with Fr. Don Bedore presiding.

Interment will be in the Scott County Cemetery.

In lieu of flowers, memorials can be made to the Genoveva Prieto Memorial Fund in care of Price and Sons, P.O. Box 552, Scott City, KS 67871.

Visitation will be from 11:00 a.m. until 8:00 p.m. Thursday, April 17, 2025, and 10:00 a.m. until 7:00 p.m. Friday, April 18, 2025, at Price & Sons Funeral Home, 401 S. Washington Street, Scott City, Kansas, 67871.
