Gale W. Rundell, age 66, died Saturday, April 8, 2006 in Garden City, Kansas from injuries sustained in an automobile accident. He was born March 20, 1940 in Garden City, Kansas the son of Ira Boyd and Grace Nunn Rundell. He graduated from Pierceville High School and later attended college at Fort Hays State University. A lifetime resident of Finney County he was a farmer and previously worked part time as a clerk for Scott Auction.
He was a member of the Presbyterian Church of Garden City and of the Moose Lodge of Dodge City.
On July 29, 1961 he married Marilyn Kay Moler in Pierceville, Kansas. She died May 14, 1995 in Garden City. Then on December 1, 2003 he married Marilyn Peterson in Lamar, Colorado. She survives.
Other survivers include: One Daughter, Celeste Rundell of Garden City, Kansas. One Son, Gregory Rundell of Garden City, Kansas. Mother-In-Law, Veta Moler of Garden City, Kansas. Two Step-Sons, Karl Peterson of Burnsville, Minnesota and Kurt Peterson of Garden City, Kansas. Two Sisters, Ruth Richards of Garden City, Kansas and Margaret Lightner of Garden City, Kansas. He was preceded in death by his first wife, one brother, Ira Boyd Rundell, one sister, Thelma Cronin and one step-daughter, Kris Peterson.
Memorial Services will be at 2:00pm on Wednesday, April 12, 2006 at the Presbyterian Church in Garden City, Kansas
With Pastors Dave Sweley and Larry Steadman presiding.
There will be no calling times.
Inurnment will be held later at the Valley View Cemetery in Garden City, Kansas
The family requests that in lieu of flowers, memorials be given to the American Missionary Fellowship in care of Price & Sons Funeral Home of Garden City.
