Frank F. Riley, age 82, passed away on Monday, September 6, 2010, at his home in Wichita, Kansas. Frank was born April 27, 1928 at Pendennis, Kansas, the son of Clyde William & Mary Elizabeth (Hart) Riley. He was the Service Department Manager for Montgomery Ward in several cities, with his final position in Wichita, Kansas, where he retired. He served in the United States Army during World War II, serving overseas in Korea.
Frank was a member of the Harley Owners Group, North American Hunting Club, North American Fishing Club, V.F.W. Post # 401 in Wichita, Kansas, and was a lifetime member of the National Rifle Association.
On October 12, 1949, he married Marlene Marie Wilson at Scott City, Kansas.
Franks surviving family members include- Wife- Marlene Riley- Home Two Sons- Frank William " Bill " Riley- Leoti, Kansas Jack Fayne Riley- Leoti, Kansas One daughter- Linda M (Riley) Mitchell Wichita, Kansas One sister- Josephine Childs- Bushnell, Illinois Ten grandchildren and Eighteen Great grandchildren His parents, a brother Jon Riley, a sister Mary Ellen Ellis and a granddaughter Hailee Joan Koehn preceded him in death.
Funeral Services will be held at 2:00 p.m. Friday, September 10, 2010, at the First United Methodist Church in Scott City, Kansas, with the Reverend Dennis Carter officiating. Burial will be in Scott County Cemetery in Scott City, Kansas, with full military honors provided by the United States Army Funeral Detail from Fort Riley, Kansas.
Friends may call from 10:00 a.m. to 8:00 p.m., Thursday, September 9, 2010, at Price and Sons Funeral Home in Leoti, Kansas.
Memorials may be given to the Wichita County Long Term Care unit in Leoti, Kansas in care of the funeral home.
