Federico Salas

Federico Salas, Sr, age 57, passed away on Wednesday, January 22, 2020, at St. Catherine Hospital in Garden City, Kansas. Federico was born January 19, 1963 in Brownville, Texas, the son of Isabel & Amelia (Guerra) Salas, Sr. He was a farmer and had been a Hays, Kansas resident since 2018 moving from Louisburg, Kansas. Federico was baptized at St. Anthony of Padua Catholic Church in Leoti, Kansas. Federico’s surviving family includes his Three Children - Karolyn & Jawwaad Williams of Louisburg, Kansas, Samara & David Martinez of Hays, Kansas, Federico & Sandra Salas, Jr. of Dallas, Texas, Seven Siblings - John & Rosemary Lopez of Sharon Springs, Kansas, Ricardo & Berta Lopez of Corpus Christi, Texas, Isabel Salas, Jr. of Wichita, Kansas, Orlando & Anna Salas of Denver, Colorado, Adriana & Jerry Baber of Lamar, Colorado, Jean Salas of Garden City, Kansas, Irene Salas of Garden City, Kansas and Ten grandchildren. His parents and a brother, Martin Salas precede him in death. Funeral Mass will be held at 10:30 am Monday, January 27, 2020, at St. Anthony of Padua Catholic Church in Leoti, Kansas with Father Tim Hickey officiating. Burial will be in Leoti Cemetery in Leoti, Kansas. Friends may call from noon until 8:00 pm Saturday and from 1:00 pm until 5:00 pm Sunday at Price & Sons Funeral Home in Leoti, Kansas. Memorials may be given to the Federico Salas, Sr. memorial fund in care of the funeral home.
