Eva C. Maestas, age 87, died Friday, July 12, 2013 at her home in Holcomb, Kansas. She was born May 5, 1926 in Wagon Mound, New Mexico the daughter of Alfredo & Annie Pino Montoya. A resident of Holcomb since 1959,e she was the owner of El Rancho Café in Holcomb.
She was a member of the St. Mary Catholic Church of Garden City, Kansas.
On July 18, 1948 she married Thomas Maestas in Raton, New Mexico. He died May 7, 1977 in Holcomb, Kansas.
Survivors include:
Two Daughters, Debbie Mader of Holcomb, Kansas, and
Nancy (& Rick) Mader of Holcomb;
Two Daughters-in-Law, Linda Maestas of Moore, Oklahoma and
Debbie Maestas of Garden City, Kansas;
Five Sisters, Violet Marquez of Chandler, Arizona,
Lucy (& Albert) Gomez of Garden City, Kansas
Bernice (& Levi) Lucero of Grand Junction, Colorado,
Minnie Montes of Pueblo, Colorado, and
Betty (& Nip) Crispin of Pueblo, Colorado;
Two Brothers, Pat (& Susie) Gomez of Manzanola, Colorado and
Rudy Gomez of Nashville, Tennessee;
Eleven Grandchildren and Twenty Great-Grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her Parents, her Husband, Three Sons, Alfred, Tommy & Ronnie Maestas, A Grandson, Torry Maestas, and Two Brothers, Fernando & Gus Montoya.
Vigil and Rosary services will be held at 7:00pm on Monday, July 15, 2013 at the St. Mary Catholic Church in Garden City, Kansas.
The Funeral Mass will be held at 10:00am on Tuesday, July 16, 2013 at the
St. Mary Catholic Church.
Friends may call from Noon-5:00pm on Monday at the Price & Sons Funeral Home in Garden City, Kansas.
Interment will be in the Valley View Cemetery in Garden City, Kansas.
Memorials may be given to the Eva Maestas Memorial Fund in care of Price & Sons Funeral Home of Garden City.
