Esther Martinez

Esther Patricia Martinez, age 40, passed away on Thursday, May 5, 2011 at the St. Catherine Hospital in Garden City, Kansas. She was born on September 25, 1970 in Chihuahua, Mexico, the daughter of Juan and Teresa Salcedo Martinez. A lifetime resident of Garden City, Kansas, she was a Lead Safety Monitor at Tyson, Inc. She was a member of the Discipulos de Cristo (First Christian Church) of Garden City, Kansas. Survivors Include her Two Sons - Humberto Adame Jr. of Garden City, Kansas, Alexis Adame of Garden City, Kansas, One Daughter - Daisy Adame of Garden City, Kansas, Mother - Teresa Salcedo of Garden City, Kansas, Step Father- Lucio Salcedo of Garden City, Kansas, Two Sisters - Cruz Martinez of Chicago, Illinois, Susan Martinez of Tustin, California, Two Nephews - Beto Martinez of Chicago, Illinois, Tony Avila of Chicago, Illinois. Funeral Services will be held at 4:00 p.m. with a Vigil Service following services until 11:00 p.m. Sunday, May 8, 2011 at the Discipulos de Cristo (First Christian Church) of Garden City, Kansas with Pastor Guillermo Reyes presiding. Graveside Services will be held at 3:30 p.m. on Monday, May 9, 2011 at Valley View Cemetery in Garden City, Kansas. There will be no calling times. The family requests that memorials be given to the Esther P. Martinez Memorial Fund in care of Price & Sons Funeral Home of Garden City.
