Ernest L. Brandfas, age 83, passed away on Sunday, June, 15, 2008 at Northwest Medical Center in Bentonville, Arkansas. He was born on July 16, 1924 in Sheridan Lake, Colorado, the son of Albert and Caroline Margaret Griess Brandfas. A resident of Scott City, Kansas since 1944 moving from Towner, Colorado, he was a Farmer and Control Room Operator for Wheatland Electric for 36 1/2 years. He was a World War II Army & Army Air Corp Veteran and he enjoyed fishing, hunting, camping, horse shows and his family.
Memberships include the Assembly Of God Church of Scott City, Kansas, VFW of Scott City, Kansas, American Legion of Scott City, Kansas and the National Rifle Association.
On March 7, 1945 he married Dorothy F. Hunter in Garden City, Kansas. She survives.
Survivors Include: Wife - Dorothy Brandfas of Scott City, Kansas, One Son - Richard & Regina Brandfas of Rogers, Arkansas, One Daughter - Judy & Don Morris of Rogers, Arkansas, Four Grandsons - Joe Brandfas, Jai Morris, and Ty Morris of Rogers, Arkansas, and Shane Morris of Lenexa, Kansas, One Granddaughter - Sebrina Reed of Wiley, Colorado, and Nine Great Grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his Parents.
Funeral Service will be held at the Assembly Of God Church in Scott City, Kansas at 2:00 p.m. Thursday, June 19, 2008 with the Rev. Ed Sanderson presiding.
Interment will be in the Scott County Cemetery in Scott City, Kansas.

Visitation will be at Price & Sons Funeral Home in Scott City from 9:00 a.m. until 8:00 p.m. Wednesday and 9:00 a.m. until 10:30 a.m. Thursday.
