Emmeline Joyce Green, age 80, passed away on Monday, April 12, 2010 in Shawnee, Oklahoma. Emmeline was born March 2, 1930 in Ordway, Colorado, the daughter of Clyde Wilbur & Edith Frances Collins McDonell. A former Leoti, Kansas and Friona, Texas resident, she was a retired Medical Records Librarian with Parmer Medical Center in Friona, Texas. Emmeline's memberships include- United Methodist Church- Friona, Texas United Methodist Church Choir- " American Health Information Management Assn.- Chicago, Illinois She was also past chairwoman of the Friona Heart Drive and former President of Omiyage Federated Women's Club of Leoti, Kansas. On December 3, 1950 she married Warren E. Green at Ordway, Colorado. He passed away on December 25, 1990 in Leoti, Kansas. Emmeline's survivor's include- Two daughters and their husbands- Kim & Donald A. "Andy" Freemen- Shawnee, Oklahoma Courtney & Lynn Kleager- Glenwood Springs, Colorado One son and his wife â Kelly & Julie Green- Olathe, Kansas Six grandchildren HadleyFreeman- Shawnee, Oklahoma Kinsey Freeman- " Evan Green- Olathe, Kansas Brett Green- " Linc Kleager- Glenwood Springs, Colorado Holden Kleager- " Adopted family Dr. Felipe & Dita Jubay- Friona, Texas Two adopted grandchildren- Sherri Anne & Dr. Matthew Couch- St. Petersburg, Florida Lynette & Edward Smith- Lubbock, Texas Her parents, her husband and a brother, Eugene McDonell, preceded her in death. Funeral Services will be held at 4:00 p.m. Friday, April 16, 2010 at the United Methodist Church in Friona, Texas with the Reverend Ron Colwell officiating and under the direction of Blackwell Funeral Home in Friona, Texas. Graveside services will be held at 2:30 p.m. Saturday, April 17, 2010 at the Leoti Cemetery in Leoti, Kansas with the Reverend Charles Ayers officiating. Friends may call from 10:00 a.m. until 1:00 p.m. Saturday at Price & Sons Funeral Home in Leoti, Kansas. Memorials may be given to the Music Program at the United Methodist Church in Friona, Texas in care of Blackwell Funeral Home or the Leoti E.M.T.'s in care of Price and Sons Funeral Home in Leoti, Kansas.
