Ellis Hoover

Ellis H. Hoover, age 70, passed away on Tuesday, April 5, 2011 at the Scott County Hospital in Scott City, Kansas. He was born August 30, 1940 in Pritchett, Colorado, the son of Leslie and Ardith Metzger Hoover. He moved to Colorado in 1986 then returned to Scott City in 2006. He was a retired guns and ammunition salesman. Memberships include the Immanuel Baptist Church of Scott City, Kansas, Scott County Gun Club Scott City, Kansas, and was a Past President of the Scott County Gun Club. On October 1, 1960 he married Fay Howard in Clayton, New Mexico. Survivors include his Two Daughters - Tracy Wasinger of Scott City, Kansas, Sheila & Mark Ellis of Scott City, Kansas, Eight Grandchildren and One Great Grandchild. He was preceded in death by his Parents. Graveside Services will be held at the Scott County Cemetery in Scott City, Kansas at 4:00 p.m. Thursday, April 7, 2011 with the Rev. Robert Nuckolls presiding. Interment will be in the Scott County Cemetery in Scott City, Kansas. Memorials amy be given tot he Ellis Hoover Memorial Fund % Price & Sons Funeral Home. Visitation will be at Price & Sons Funeral Home in Scott City from 3:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. Wednesday and 9:00 a.m. until 3:00 p.m. Thursday.
