Elaine Roemer

Elaine Roemer, age 89, passed away on Saturday, April 13, 2013 at The Scott County Hospital in Scott City, Kansas. She was born on October 6, 1923 in Lane County, Kansas, the daughter of Roland and Ethel May Harper. A lifetime resident of Lane County, Kansas, she was a homemaker. Elaine enjoyed fishing and traveling with her family. She was a member of the United Methodist Church in Healy, Kansas. On August 25, 1947 she married Duane A. "Pete" Roemer in Healy, Kansas. He passed away on February 18, 2011 in Scott City, Kansas. Survivors Include her One Daughter - Reva Roemer of Garden City, Kansas, Four Sons - Randy & Beverly Roemer of Healy, Kansas, Royce & Mia Roemer of Garden City, Kansas, Rick & Sharon Roemer of Scott City, Kansas, Roger & Shannon Roemer of Mission, Kansas, Eight Grandchildren and Five Great Grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her Parents, her Husband - Duane, and Two Brothers - Dexter Harper and Vance Harper. Graveside Services will be held at the Healy Cemetery in Healy, Kansas at 2:00 p.m. Monday, April 15, 2013 with the Rev. James Brackett presiding. Memorials may be given to the Diamond View Assisted Living in Dighton, Kansas c/o Price & Sons Funeral Home in Scott City, Kansas. Visitation will be from 2:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. Sunday and 10:00 a.m. until 12:00 p.m. Monday at Price & Sons Funeral Home in Scott City, Kansas.
