Eileen Ruth Winderlin, age 88, passed away on Friday, September 19, 2008 at Portland Hospice House in Littleton, Colorado. She was born on September 1, 1920 in Arapahoe, Colorado, the daughter of John Mathew and Satilla Holman Snyder. A resident of Scott City, Kansas since 1937 moving from Towner, Colorado, she was a homemaker and bookkeeper.
Her memberships include the Lake Wide Awake 4-H Community Leader, EHU Club, El Quartelejo Study Club, Altar Society, St. Joseph Catholic Church all of Scott City, Kansas.
On October 27, 1944 she married Paul Winderlin in Long Beach, California. He passed away on June 15, 1997 in Denver, Colorado.
Survivors include: Three Daughters-Pauletta Barenberg of Littleton, Colorado, Luann Kirkovich of Littleton, Colorado, and Marilyn Waters of Scott City, Kansas, Two Sisters in Law - Cathy Bender of Chandler, Arizona and Rose Jackson of Henderson, Nevada, One Brother in Law - Edwin Allen of Scott City, Kansas, Five Grandchildren and Eight Great Grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her Parents, Husband, Four Brothers â Eldon, Virgil, Lowell, and Robert Snyder, and Four Sisters â Beatrice Harris, Helen Snyder, Beulah Barker, and Maurine Allen.
Vigil Service will be held at Price & Sons Funeral Home in Scott City, Kansas at 7:00 p.m. Monday, September 22, 2008.
Funeral Mass will be held at St. Joseph Catholic Church in Scott City, Kansas at 2:00 p.m. Tuesday, September 23, 2008 with Fr. Warren Stecklein presiding.
Interment will be in the Scott County Cemetery in Scott City, Kansas.
Memorials may be given to the Eileen R. Winderlin Memorial Fund % Price & Sons Funeral Home.
Visitation will be from 10:30 a.m. until 8:00 p.m. Monday and 9:00 a.m. until 1:00 p.m. Tuesday @ Price & Sons Funeral Home in Scott City, Kansas.
