Edith Rose Norman, age 95, passed away on Wednesday, November 5, 2014 at the Park Lane Nursing Home in Scott City, Kansas. She was born on June 19, 1919 in Scott County, Kansas the daughter of Robert Roberts & Rose Edith Griffin Brooks Sr. A lifetime resident of Scott County and Scott City, Kansas, she was a homemaker.
She was a member of the First Christian Church and Christian Women’s Fellowship group both of Scott City, Kansas.
On January 7, 1940 she married Everett Eugene Norman in Scott County, Kansas. He passed away on May 9, 2005 in Scott City, Kansas.
Survivors Include: Five Sons; Jan & JoAnn Norman of Scott City, Kansas, Reid & Cindy Norman of Lubbock, Texas, Neil & Bev Norman of Manhattan, Kansas, Bret & Janet Norman of Adel, Iowa, Kurt Norman of Scott City, Kansas; Three Daughters; Sue & Ron Riner of Scott City, Kansas, Sally & Don Whitson of Salina, Kansas, Sara & Tom Shane of Garden City, Kansas; Twenty Four Grandchildren; Forty Eight Great Grandchildren; Four Great Great Grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, one brother - Robert Brooks, Jr., two sisters - Doris Pennell & Mary Marcy and two Great Grandchildren.
Memorial Services will be held at the First Christian Church in Scott City, Kansas
10:30 a.m. Monday, November 10, 2014 with Steve Payne Officiating.
Memorials In Lieu of flowers may be made to the First Christian Church or Park Lane Nursing Home % of Price & Sons Funeral Home in Scott City, Kansas.
Because Edith chose to have her body donated to science at the University of Kansas Medical Center, there will be no calling times.
