E. Edward Brown, Jr., age 74, died June 8, 2016, in Wichita, Kansas. He was born on December 19, 1941 in Manhattan, Kansas the son of Ernest Edward, Sr. and Lavina Hortense Brown.
He graduated Kansas State University in 1964 and Washburn University School of Law in 1967. He was member of the Girls Scouts, Board of Directors of the Community Day Care, the Finney County Bar Association, a former commander of the American Legion, and the Kansas Bar Association. Ed also served as a US Magistrate judge from 1973-1975.
Ed proudly served his country during the Vietnam War in the United States Army as a Judge Advocate General Captain.
On June 23, 1965, he married Janice Fromme in Hoxie, Kansas. She passed away on August 3, 2013.

One Daughter Stephanie and Barth Nicholson of Olathe, Kansas
Two Sisters Lavena Ross of Longmont, Colorado
Linda Myers of Longmont, Colorado
Two Grandchildren Grant Nicholson of Olathe, Kansas
Chelsea Nicholson of Olathe, Kansas
He is preceded in death by his Parents, and wife.
Memorial Services will be held on Monday, June 13, 2016, at 2:00 P.M. at the First United Methodist Church of Garden City, Kansas.
Inurnment will be held at a later date in the Hoxie Cemetery in Hoxie, Kansas.
