Duwayne Rich

Deerfield, Kansas Duwayne E. Rich, age 74, died Thursday, June 16, 2011 from injuries sustained in a farm accident North of Deerfield, Kansas. He was born on March 22, 1937 in Grand Rapids, Michigan the son of Wallace and Thelma Conway Rich. A resident of Deerfield, Kansas since 1969 he was a farm mechanic. He was a US Navy veteran. In 1955 he married Margaret Clark. Then on April 26, 1985 he married Norma Jean Shearer. She died October 14, 2006. Survivors Include: Two Sons, David (& Mary) Rich of Deerfield, Kansas and Jimmy Rich of Downs, Kansas; Two Daughters, Joyce Aldrich of Downs, Kansas and Betty Jo Hampton of Cawker City, Kansas; One Sister, Rosalee McNutt of Cleaver, Missouri; Fourteen Grandchildren and Nine Great-Grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents, a sister, Roberta Rich and a son, William Rich. Graveside Services will be held at 11:00am on Monday, June 20, 2011 at the Deerfield Cemetery in Deerfield, Kansas with Reverend Robert Nuckolls presiding. There will be no public calling times. The family requests memorials be given to the Duwayne Rich Memorial Fund in care of Price & Sons Funeral Home of Garden City, Kansas.
