Drew Lynn Hoeme was born January 29, 1949, in Scott City, Kansas, to Andrew V. and Betty E. (Triffet) Hoeme. He died on April 28, 2024, peacefully at his home in Olathe, Kansas listening to the Beach Boys with family by his side.
He married Diane Jeanne Engleman on July 11, 1969, in Colby, Kansas.
He is survived by his wife; son, Kevin (Trina) Hoeme; daughters, Tammi (Mike) Cummings and Kristi (Jeff) Sheppard; two grandsons, Drew Sheppard and Ty Sheppard; brother, Larry (Kathy) Hoeme; sister, Carol (Steve) Walker; nephews, nieces, cousins, and many friends.
Lynn lived most of his life in Scott County where he also attended school, graduating in 1967. He attended college at Colby Community College & was a farmer/rancher and worked at HRC Feedyard as the Foreman.
He had many interests, including classic cars, college sports, NASCAR, and attending auctions. He loved meeting new people, talking about his grandsons, and doing anything he could to help others. He rarely let people leave his house without some kind of “treasure” he picked up somewhere. Everyone who knew him well will miss his phone calls and funny stories.
He was a member of the Redeemer Lutheran Church in Olathe, Kansas.
A graveside memorial service will be held on May 23, 2024, at 2:00 pm at Scott County Cemetery, Scott City, Kansas. The family requests no flowers.
