Dorothy M. Rowh, age 89, passed away on Sunday, November 18, 2012 at the Scott County Hospital in Scott City, Kansas. She was born on February 10, 1923 in Norton County, Kansas, the daughter of William Guy and Mabel Irene Temple Vanover.
She attended school in the Lyle, Kansas community until the spring of 1937. Her folks moved to Clayton, Kansas where she graduated from the Clayton Grade and High Schools.
On July 4, 1942 she married Donald Rowh in Oberlin, Kansas. After his return from service in 1945 they made their home in the Clayton Community farming. Donald passed away in May of 1976 in Clayton, Kansas. Dorothy was a stay at home helper and mother of 4 children. She loved her children and grandchildren.
Survivors include her Two Sons - Rex & Ann Rowh of Cimarron, Kansas, Wayne & Carol Rowh of Morganville, Kansas, Two Daughters - Shirley & Allen Smith of Beaver City, Nebraska, Sheryl & Lynn Goodman of Scott City, Kansas, Two Sister In Laws - Georgia Rowh of Norton, Kansas, Wilma Vanover of San Diego, California, 12 Grandchildren, 26 Great Grandchildren and 2 Great Great Grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her Parents, Husband and Two Brothers and Two Grandchildren.
Graveside Memorial Services will be held at a later date in the Clayton Cemetery in Clayton, Kansas.
