Dorothy Irene (Burnett) Martin, age 88, passed away on August 30, 2022, at the Greeley County Long Term Care Unit in Tribune, Kansas. She was born on August 24, 1934, in Towner, Colorado to Charlie and Mildred (Corr) Burnett.

Dorothy was a member of the Tribune community since 1948, having moved from Towner, Colorado. She was a member of the Tribune Assembly of God church and a devoted homemaker. She occupied her time with quilling, crafting, sewing, working on puzzles and filling in coloring books. She absolutely adored her grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

On June 15, 1952, Dorothy married Lawrence Martin at the Assembly of God church in Tribune. They celebrated 60 years of marriage before he passed away on September 1, 2012.

Survivors include their children Peggy & Larry Loop of Park City, Kansas, Greg & Ruth Martin of Blue Rapids, Kansas, her grandsons Jeff Loop of Haven, Kansas, Daniel Loop of Haven, Kansas, Brent & Megan Martin of Waterville, Kansas, Blake & Tif Martin of Waterville, Kansas, her sister Lonnie Holmes of Tribune, Kansas, and ten great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death her husband, her parents, her sisters Marie Butler, and Louise Myers.

A private graveside service will be held for the immediate family at the Greeley County Cemetery with pastor Justin Sherer presiding.
