Doris Wright

Doris M. Wright, age 77, passed away at the Scott County Hospital in Scott City, Kansas on Wednesday, November 30, 2011. She was born on August 22, 1934 in Russell Springs, Kansas, the daughter of Ed and Anna Blau Deaver. A resident of Scott City, Kansas since 1955 moving from Russell Springs, Kansas, Doris worked for both USD 466 and the Scott County VIP Center in the food service department. She was a member of the First United Methodist Church of Scott City, Kansas. On March 21, 1955 she married Larry C. Wright in Russell Springs, Kansas. He survives. Survivors include her Husband - Larry C. Wright of Scott City, Kansas, One Son - Lynn & Calista Wright of Aurora, Colorado, Two Daughters - Susan & Vance Wiechman of Scott City, Kansas, Kyle & Stacy Hoeme of Scott City, Kansas, Two Brothers - Lawrence Deaver of Garden City, Kansas, Dale Deaver of Levant, Kansas, Three Sisters - Martha Crouse of Scott City, Kansas, Effie Clevenger of WaKeeney, Kansas, Bernice Straub of Oakley, Kansas, Nine Grandchildren and One Great Grandchild. She was preceded in death by her Parents, Two Brothers, Two Sisters and One Grandson. Funeral Services will be held at the First United Methodist Church of Scott City, Kansas at 10:30 a.m. Saturday, December 3, 2011 with the Rev. Dennis Carter presiding. Interment will be in the Scott County Cemetery in Scott City, Kansas. Memorials may be given to the First United Methodist Church or American Cancer Society % Price & Sons Funeral Home in Scott City, Kansas.
