Doris Reed

Doris J. Reed, age 81, passed away on Friday, October 26, 2012 as the result of an automobile accident in Finney County, Kansas. She was born on April 15, 1931 in Rush County, Kansas, the daughter of Mike P. and Mary Hamardla Urban. A resident of Scott City, Kansas since 1934 moving from Rush County, Kansas, she worked for Wheatland Electric in Scott City until her retirement in 1996. She was a member of the Community Christian Church of Scott City, Kansas. Survivors include her One Son - Arlan & Tammy Reed of Scott City, Kansas, Two Daughters - Susan & Brad Hull of Scott City, Kansas, Sandra Nicholson of Garden City, Kansas, Eight Grandchildren and Fifteen Great Grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her Parents, One Brother - Edward "Mike" Urban, One Sister - Alene Dearden, and One Son in Law - Curtis Nicholson. Funeral Services will be held at the Community Christian Church in Scott City, Kansas at 10:00 a.m. Thursday, November 1, 2012 with Pastor Shelby Crawford presiding. Memorials in Lieu of Flowers may be given to the Community Christian Church or Scott County VIP Center % Price & Sons Funeral Home. Interment will be in the Scott County Cemetery in Scott City, Kansas. Visitation will be from 11:00 a.m. until 8:00 p.m. Tuesday and 10:00 a.m. until 8:00 p.m. Wednesday at Price & Sons Funeral Home in Scott City.
