Donna Bruce

Donna June Bruce, 78, of Garden City, died Monday, March 17, 2008, at Morton County Hospital in Elkhart. She was born June 4, 1929, in Baca County, Colo., to Clint and Bessie Runyan Newman. A resident of Garden City since 2004, moving from Canyon, Texas, she had been a dog breeder, including several champion bloodlines and at one time having the largest kennel in Texas. She was a member of the First Baptist faith. Survivors include two daughters, Donna Garner of Chihuahua, Mexico, and Shirley Spanier of Garden City; five grandchildren; and nine great-grandchildren. Funeral service will be 2:00 p.m. Saturday, March 22, 2008 at Price & Sons Funeral Home in Garden City, with Pastor Bruce Garner officiating. Visitation hours are 10 a.m. to 8 p.m. Friday and 10 a.m. until service time on Saturday at Price & Sons Funeral Home in Garden City. Burial will be in the Valley View Cemetery, Garden City. The family requests memorials be given to the Disabled Veterans, in care of the funeral home.
