Donita R. Steele, age 75, passed away on Thursday, April 17, 2008 at the Scott County Hospital in Scott City, Kansas. She was born on April 10, 1933 in Manning, Kansas, the daughter of Almon Teed and Esther Luton Unruh. A lifetime resident of Scott City, Kansas, she was a homemaker. Donita was a very active member in the church, a Sunday School Teacher, a Sunday School Superintendent, a Girl Scout Leader, Cub Scout Den Mother, Boy Scout Troop Leader, and a Brownie Leader.
Memberships include the First Christian Church, PEO, Eastern Star all of Scott City, Kansas.
On September 5, 1951 she married Todd Steele in Clayton, New Mexico. He survives.
Survivors Include: Husband - Todd Steele of Scott City, Kansas, Three Sons - Mike Steele of Scott City, Kansas, Pat Steele of Grand Rapids, Michigan, and Keith Steele of Ulysses, Kansas, One Daughter - Peggy Pfannenstiel of Lawrence, Kansas and One Brother - Jerry Unruh of Goltry, Oklahoma, Ten Grandchildren and Two Great Grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her Parents, Three Brothers and Two Sisters.
Funeral Service will be at the First Christian Church in Scott City, Kansas at 3:00 p.m. Sunday, April 20, 2008 with Mike Steele & Rev. Jeff Knighton presiding.
Interment will be in the Scott County Cemetery in Scott City, Kansas.
Memorials may be given to Park Lane Nursing Home % Price & Sons Funeral Home.
Visitation will be held at Price & Sons Funeral Home in Scott City from 1:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. Saturday.
