Donita Claar

Garden City, Kansas Donita M. Claar, age 77, died Saturday, March 6, 2010 at the Garden Valley Retirement Village in Garden City, Kansas. She was born October 1, 1932 in Guymon, Oklahoma the daughter of Earl E. and Beaulah May Thrall Griggs. A resident of Garden City since 1980 moving from McPherson, Kansas, she was a homemaker. She was a member of the First United Methodist Church of Garden City, Kansas and formerly a member of the Deerfield United Methodist Church of Deerfield, Kansas. On November 26, 1950 she married Charles H. Claar in Deerfield, Kansas. He died October 13, 2007 in Garden City, Kansas. Survivors Include: Two Sons; Charles H. Claar, Jr. of Garden City and Larry Claar of Garden City, Kansas: Two Daughters; Sandra Claar of Harper, Kansas and Sheri Green of Garden City, Kansas: One Brother, Floyd Griggs of Ponca City, Oklahoma: Ten Grandchildren and 13 Great-Grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents and a brother, Earl Gene Griggs. Funeral Services will be held at 2:00pm on Wednesday, March 10, 2010 at the Price & Sons Funeral Home in Garden City, Kansas with the Rev. David Bell presiding. Friends may call from 10am-6pm on Tuesday at the Price & Sons Funeral Home in Garden City. Interment will be in the Valley View Cemetery in Garden City, Kansas.
