Donald Chester Hendrickson, age 80, passed away on Saturday, July 27, 2013, at the Homestead Health & Rehab in Garden City, Kansas. He was born August 3, 1932 on the family farm near Hanston, Kansas the son of Arthur and Mamie Bamberger Hendrickson. A resident of Garden City since 1956, he had been a custom cattle buyer.
He was a member of the First United Methodist Church, the Fellowship of Christian Cowboys and the Kansas Livestock Association.
On June 10, 1951, he married Ada Goller in Hanston, Kansas. She survives.
Other Survivors Include Two Sons - Jess (& Theresa) Hendrickson of Golden, Colorado and Mark (& Sandy) Hendrickson of Jetmore, Kansas; Two Daughters - Debi Asper of Garden City, Kansas and Jana (& Tom) Beery of Los Alamos, New Mexico; One Sister - Madonna Cossman of Hanston, Kansas, Ten Grandchildren and Five Great-Grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his parents, One Brother, Lawrence Hendrickson and Two Grandchildren, Erica and Brad Hendrickson.
Funeral Services will be held at 10:00am on Monday, July 29, 2013 at the First United Methodist Church in Garden City, Kansas with Pastor Brian Faust presiding.
Friends may call from 4:00-8:00pm on Sunday at the Price & Sons Funeral Home in Garden City, Kansas.
Interment will be held in the Valley View Cemetery in Garden City, Kansas.
Memorials may be given to the Fellowship Of Christian Cowboys or to UMCOR (United Methodist Committee On Relief) both in care of Price & Sons Funeral Home of Garden City, Kansas.
