Dennis Crist

Garden City, Kansas Dennis "Denny" Crist, age 74, died Sunday, October 21, 2007 at the Garden Valley Retirement Village in Garden City, Kansas. He was born on October 2, 1933 in Garden City, Kansas the son of Ruben L. and Vona Mae Crozier Crist. A lifetime resident of Garden City, Kansas he was a farmer and stockman and was a WWII US Air Force Veteran. He was a member of the Prairie View Church of the Brethren of Friend, Kansas. He was a member of the Appaloosa Horse Club Hall of Fame, the Studebaker Club, the Gideons, the VFW and the Airplane Owners and Pilots Association. On September 5, 1953 he married Doris Jean Henry @ Raton, New Mexico. She survives. Other Survivors Include: Two Sons, Jeff B. Crist of Garden City, Kansas and Kelly J. Crist of Scott City, Kansas; One Daughter, Stace L. Robbins of Phoenix, Arizona; One Sister, Sondra Crook of Shawnee Mission, Kansas; Six Grandchildren, Four Great-Grandchildren and Several Nieces and Nephews. He was preceded in death by a son, Bradley Crist; a brother, Larry Crist and his parents. Funeral Services will be held at 2:00pm on Thursday, October 25, 2007 at the Word Of Life Church in Garden City, Kansas with Pastor Jeff Crist and Rev. Jon Tuttle presiding. Interment will be held in the Prairie View Church Cemetery in Friend, Kansas. Friends may call from 10:00 am until 8:00 pm on Wednesday and from 10:00 am until Noon on Thursday at the Price & Sons Funeral Home in Garden City, Kansas. The family requests memorials be given to the Denny Crist Memorial Fund in care of Price & Sons Funeral Home of Garden City.
