Delores Ann Herrera, age 77, passed away on Sunday, March 22, 2020 at Wichita County Health Center in Leoti, Kansas. Delores was born June 17, 1942 at Bridgeport, Nebraska, the daughter of Carlos Jose & Maria Marina (Arellano) Lopez.
A resident of Leoti, Kansas since 1964 moving from Minatare, Nebraska, she served as dispatch for Wichita County Sheriffs Office from January 1, 1978 until her retirement on February 28, 2006.
Delores was a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints and the Relief Society in Scott City, Kansas.
On August 4, 1964 she married Pete Paul Herrera, Sr. at Minatare, Nebraska.

Her husband, Pete P. Herrera, Sr. of Leoti, Kansas; Six Children including Pete Paul & Penny Herrera, Jr. of Newport News, Virginia, Adam Daniel & Bonnie Herrera of Boston, Massachusetts, Esther & Dennis Sturdivant of Surprise, Arizona, Lillie & Calvin Haverfield of Russell Springs, Kansas, Marcus & Donna Herrera of Leoti, Kansas, Isabel & Ian McDonald of St. George, Utah and a brother Danny & Christina Lopez of Rockford, Illinois. Dolores and Pete have Twenty- Six Grandchildren and Thirty-Six Great Grandchildren.
Funeral services will be conducted at some time in the future.
