Delmar R. Turley

Delmar R. Turley, age 74, passed away on Wednesday, September 25, 2024, at his home in Scott City, Kansas. He was born on June 26, 1950, in Dodge City, Kansas, the son of Carl Elton & Virginia Alice Reinert Turley. A resident of Scott City, Kansas since 1958, he owned and operated his own business as a builder and contractor and custom hay works operation.  He was also a trucker, painter, and cattleman. 

He was a member of the First Baptist Church in Scott City, Kansas.

In 1969 Delmar married Kathleen A. Rudolph and in 1976 he married Cheryl Ann Criswell.

Survivors include his Five Children - Amy Nodine & Dwayne Byrde of Brooks, Alberta, Canada, Holly Berland of Scott City, Kansas, Jason M. Turley of Colwich, Kansas, Tyson J. Turley of Dighton, Kansas, and Shareena Kay & Adam Schiffelbein of Park City, Kansas, Longtime Companion - Deon Lonnberg of Dodge City, Kansas, Two Brothers - Jerry Turley of Garden City, Kansas, Dale & Shelley Turley of Scott City, Kansas, Four Sisters - Linda & Gary Harkness of Larned, Kansas, Carol Heim & Kent Strickler of Scott City, Kansas, Sandi & John Lewis of Abbyville, Kansas, and Deb Sherman of Wichita, Kansas, Nine Grandchildren and Five Great Grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his Parents, One Brother - Leroy Turley, One Sister - Joan Petrey, and One Brother In Law - Roy Sherman.

Funeral services will be held at 10:30 a.m. Monday, September 30, 2024, at the First Baptist Church in Scott City, Kansas with Pastor Don Williams presiding.

Visitation will be 11:00 a.m. until 8:00 p.m. Saturday and 1:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. Sunday at Price & Sons Funeral Home, 401 S. Washington St., Scott City, Kansas, 67871. 

Graveside services will be held at 3:00 p.m. Monday, September 30, 2024, in the Ness City Cemetery in Ness, Kansas.
