Leoti, Kansas Della Irene Heinitz, age 89, passed away on November 4, 2015 in rural Logan County, Kansas. Della was born May 18, 1926 on the Blau family homestead in Logan County, Kansas, the daughter of William & Gladys Couch Blau. A lifetime resident of western Kansas, she was a ranch wife, homemaker, and was a school cook at Hi-Plains School for many years. She attended the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints in Scott City, Kansas. On August 11, 1946 she married William Heinitz in Garden City, Kansas. Bill passed away on July 13, 1991 in Leoti, Kansas. Della’s surviving family includes- Six Children- Bruce & Twyla Heinitz- Holcomb, Kansas Dennis & Joyce Heinitz- Grandview, Missouri Dallas & Colette Heinitz- Ulysses, Kansas Dana & John Nodine- Leoti, Kansas Barry Heinitz- Lincoln, Kansas Tanis Heinitz- Warrensburg, Missouri One sister- Betty Elder- Tribune, Kansas Eleven Grandchildren and Ten Great Grandchildren Her parents, husband, four sisters and four brothers precede her in death. Funeral Services will be held at 2:00 pm Saturday, December 5, 2015 at the First Presbyterian Church in Leoti, Kansas. Inurnment will be in Leoti Cemetery in Leoti, Kansas.
