Delfino Dale Salazar, age 67, died Saturday, October 14, 2006 at his home in Deerfield, Kansas. He was born on March 19, 1939 in Pueblo, Colorado the son of John Cristostomo and Cindy Sierra Salazar. A resident of Deerfield since 1985 moving from Pueblo he worked in the packaging department at Tyson Fresh Meats of Holcomb, Kansas.
He was a member of the St. Anthony Catholic Church of Lakin, Kansas.
In March of 1959 he married Mary Ofelia Fernandez in Pueblo, Colorado. She died March 7, 1993 in Garden City, Kansas.
Survivors Include: 2 Daughters: Tina Medrano of Deerfield, Kansas and Juanita Salazar of Deerfield, Kansas; 2 Sons: Steve Salazar of Pueblo, Colorado and Robert Salazar of Pueblo, Colorado; Caretaker/God-Daughter: Audrey Montoya of Pueblo, Colorado; 6 Sisters, 2 Brothers, 6 God-Children 11 Grandchildren and 4 Great-Grandchildren He was preceded in death by 1 son, Randy Salazar and 1 Brother, Jim Salazar
Rosary services will be held in Colorado on Wednesday evening and the Memorial Funeral Mass and Interment services will be held Thursday morning in Colorado.
There will be no local calling times.
The family requests memorials be given to the Dale Salazar Memorial Fund in care of Price & Sons Funeral Home of Garden City.
