David Olson

David Eric "Pa" Olson, age 56, passed away on Monday, January 30, 2012 at Via Christi Select Specialty Hospital in Wichita, Kansas. Dave was born October 11, 1955 at Great Falls, Montana, the son of Daryl Archie & Venita Pauline Hager Olson. He was a Field Manager for the Natural Gas Industry and had been a Tribune resident since 1979 moving from Lakin, Kansas. Dave was a member of the First Baptist Church in Tribune, Kansas and had previously served on the Greeley County School Board for over 20 years. He was lead singer and drummer for the Fulton Street Band and the Stealing Corn Band. On April 22, 1978, Dave married Cynthia Schweitzer at Lakin, Kansas. Dave's surviving family includes; His wife, Cynthia Olson- Tribune, Kansas; One daughter- Skyler Torres- Tribune, Kansas; Two grandchildren- Sebastian Torres- Tribune, Kansas, Luke Grubb- Tribune, Kansas; Two brothers- Alan Olson- Ulysses, Kansas; Steve Olson- Ulysses, Kansas. His parents preceded him in death. Memorial services will be held at 10:30 am (MDT) Saturday, February 4, 2012 at the First Baptist Church in Tribune, Kansas with the Reverend Mark Randolph officiating. Inurnment will be at a later date. There are no calling times. Memorials may be given to the Silent Angels Animal Shelter in care of Price & Sons Funeral Home in Tribune, Kansas.
