David Decker, age 94, formally of Scott City, Kansas passed away on Thursday, January 24, 2013 in Paris, Texas. He was born on April 19, 1918 in Verden, Oklahoma, the son of Peter W. and Dena Schmidt Decker. A resident of Scott City, Kansas from 1957 until 2004, he was a carpenter and real estate developer.
He was a member of the Scott Mennonite Church in Pence, Kansas.
On May 11, 1941 he married Della Unruh in Marion County, Kansas. She passed away on March 8, 2007 in Bonners Ferry, Idaho.
Survivors include his Two Sons - Larry & Helen Decker of Scott City, Kansas, Galen & Virginia Decker of Scott City, Kansas, Three Daughters - Mary & Daniel Holdeman of Detroit, Texas, Lorraine & Ed Williams of Bonners Ferry, Idaho, Rebecca & Merle Koehn of Mountain Grove, Missouri, One Sister - Mandena Johnson of Montezuma, Kansas, One Brother - Marvin & Connie Decker of Deridder, Louisanna, One Sister in law - Delores Decker of Deridder, Twenty Two Grandchildren and Sixty Five Great Grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Wife, One Son - Dayton Decker, Two Sisters and Nine Brothers.
Funeral Services will be held at the Scott Mennonite Church in Pence, Kansas at 10:30 a.m. Monday January 28, 2013 with Minister Daniel Koehn & Minister Richard Koehn presiding.
Interment will be in the Scott Mennonite Church Cemetery in Pence, Kansas.
Memorials may be given to the Scott Mennonite Church % Price & Sons Funeral Home.
Visitation will be from 1:00 p.m. until 4:00 p.m. Sunday @ Price & Sons Funeral Home in Scott City, Kansas.
